"Building Integrity" 2017 Conference

DRESMARA Director Colonel Professor PhD GROSARU Florin-Eduard attended the BI 2017 Conference “PROJECTING STABILITY THROUGH GOOD GOVERNANCE AND DEFENCE INSTITUTION BUILDING” organized by the NATO IS in collaboration with the US Office of the Secretary of Defense.

The BI Conference provided a forum to promote good practices and discuss the impact of corruption in the defence and security sector and the practical tools needed to strengthen integrity, transparency and accountability in the defence and security sector. The aim of the BI Conference was to reflect on the achievements to date and to explore ideas to further enhance BI, taking into account the importance of good governance in the defence and related security sector and ongoing discussions on Projecting Stability.

During the conference the following issues were addressed:

• Enhancing the BI Discipline - Education, Training and Exercises;
• Mainstreaming Good Governance - Lessons Learned from Operations;
• BI Tailored Support and the BI Self-Assessment and Peer Review Process;
• Promoting Good Practices.
